A jury panel will assess the submitted designs. Assessment will be based on the following:
- Recognisability: can we distinguish the elements of the two flags?
- Aesthetic judgement: do we think the flag is beautiful?
- Message: does the flag support the message of the Coming Out Day (attention for sexual diversity) and for the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (inclusiveness, equality, respect, with focus on social emancipation)?
The jury will choose the winning design. Depending on the number and quality (see the three points above) of the designs, the jury can also decide to have a public vote (students and staff). In that case, two designs will be put forward by the jury, and the one with the most votes will win.
