Aymeric Mansoux, Marloes de Valk and Dave Griffiths received the First Prize at VIDA 13.2 awards for Naked on Pluto, a text-based online game that playfully addresses issues of online privacy and the (mis)use of personal data. Seven Artificial Intelligence bots interact with the player, who strives to escape the entertainment environment Elastic Versailles while being constantly prompted to provide additional information to the system. The project was developed with Free/ Libre Open Source Software (FLOSS), a practice that is advocated by the artists in publications such as FLOSS+Art (2009), as well as in articles and workshops. The impact of free culture and open source software in artistic practices and the development of their award winning online environment are the main subjects discussed in the following interview.
